Partner 1 (Coordinator): Luleå University of Technology (LTU)

Luleå University of Technology (LTU) is the northernmost university of technology in Scandinavia. LTU has 12 000 students and 500 researchers. Work is carried out in departments in

LTU has a long tradition of cooperation with industry and the public sector. The cooperation enriches both education and research. Often research is based on problems different actors have and is carried out in interaction with the parties who have an interest in the results. LTU wants to contribute to the region’s development and growth and is active in regional development efforts. Work with the test bed in N4C is a good example of the public-private cooperation.

The research at LTU is conducted in multidisciplinary research environments, which are clusters for the 70 research disciplines. The research base constitutes traditional areas in which LTU already is at the forefront and areas in which LTU is advancing strongly and has good potential for growth.

N4C is the first FP7 project that LTU is coordinating. Responsible is the Department of Human Work Sciences, Division Gender, Technology and Organization.
