Kit lenses are often talked down because they are typically included as part of a camera package and are considered to be of lower quality compared to higher-end lenses. They usually have limited zoom range, slower apertures, and may not produce the sharpest images. However, kit lenses can still be a good starting point for beginners or casual photographers to learn and experiment with different focal lengths before investing in more expensive lenses. With proper technique and lighting, kit lenses can still produce decent results. **
